At Scott’s Custom Auto Spa, paint correction is a craft—and I’m the one behind it. As a trained paint correction specialist, I personally handle every vehicle with precision, care, and years of hands-on experience. This isn’t basic polishing. It’s a multi-stage, technical process that restores your paintwork to its true potential.
Serving Quinte, Belleville, Kingston, Cobourg, Port Hope, Durham Region, and Trenton, I specialize in removing deep defects that most shops overlook or simply mask.
What Sets My Paint Correction Apart:
• 🎯 True correction, not cosmetic cover-up
• 🔍 Panel-by-panel inspection under specialized lighting
• 🧰 Multi-stage machine polishing with professional-grade compounds
• 📏 Paint depth readings to ensure safe and effective correction
• 🧼 Ideal prep for GlossTech or Feynlab Ceramic Coating
I personally eliminate:
• Swirl marks
• Holograms
• Oxidation
• Water spot etching
• Micro-scratches and buffer trails
This is the kind of work that transforms a vehicle—not just makes it shiny. Whether you're restoring a classic, prepping for ceramic coating, or reviving a tired finish, I bring the skill and attention to detail that your vehicle deserves.
Understanding Paint Correction
Paint correction is a professional process that permanently removes defects from your vehicle’s clear coat. This includes swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, water spots, and etching that make paint look dull or hazy. Using specialized machines, pads, and cutting compounds, the clear coat is carefully leveled to reveal a smooth, flawless surface. Unlike waxes or glazes that simply fill in imperfections temporarily, true paint correction eliminates them — restoring depth, clarity, and gloss. At Scott’s Custom Auto Spa, we tailor the level of correction (light, medium, or heavy multi-stage) to the condition of your paint, ensuring the best possible finish before applying a ceramic coating.

Our Process and Technology
At Scott's Custom Auto Spa & Ceramic Coatings, we use ScanGrip lights, which are high-performance LED lights made in Denmark and specifically designed for accurate paint correction. We can adjust the light hue based on your car or truck’s colour to highlight imperfections and help us achieve the best possible results. For instance, the process can be conducted using white light for dark paints and yellow light for light paints, providing clear contrast so that defects can be spotted and properly corrected. Our shop counts on two very efficient SPS7 Bluetooth lights that can be adjusted to provide the perfect hue for precise paint correction.
